The Accelerators are accelerating |
Finalizing Health Wildcatters accelerator: |
Earlier this year, OncoSwab was selected as one of ten promising startups to join the Health Wildcatters Accelerator. Throughout this program, we've benefited from weekly pitch practices and personalised mentorship, connecting us with over 200 seasoned professionals spanning diverse industries, such as investors, business development experts, commercialization specialists, and healthcare professionals. We’ve done great progress and are deeply appreciative of the invaluable guidance we've received from a remarkable group of experts, and can’t wait to share our progress on Demo Day in just a few days!
If you’re in Dallas, join us at Pegasus Park on Tuesday, November 14th! Sign up to save your spot here. |
OncoSwab is accepted into renowned Swiss MedTech Accelerator |
We have achieved an extraordinary milestone by being selected as one of only 4 startups awarded the DayOne – MedTech Accelerator Prize for groundbreaking medical innovations! Only companies with a high potential to boost the economy in Switzerland and leverage the biotech ecosystem are accepted. This achievement allows us to access to non-dilutive and in kind-funding, mentorship, and to be part of the Switzerland Innovation Park in the Basel-Jura area.
We’re currently lining up grant opportunities and working with the Swiss law firm BRAUNPAT to file a provisional patent in the upcoming days, sponsored by the DayOne Tech program. |

OncoSwab Takes a Deep Dive into Market Research with I-Corps |
No matter how good a product is, there’s no business without clients. And while we are aware that the lack of lung cancer screening is a real, undeniable problem, it’s our mission as founders to develop a strong go-to-market strategy. Our participation in the U.S. National Science Foundation's Regional Innovation Corps (i-Corps) program is helping us get there. Our objectives are to have a deeper understanding of the market and engage with key stakeholders by performing customer interviews with healthcare providers, payors and patients. Thanks to i-Corps, we've conducted 19 insightful interviews so far and learned about needs and preferences in cancer diagnostics. |

We’ve been busy networking |
|
OncoSwab was among the 30 finalists between 207 applicants selected to participate in Founder Pitch Week, which aims to reduce disparities in venture capital by giving diverse founders a spotlight. We couldn't be more thrilled to give a well-deserved shoutout to Bridgette Smith, former Google executive, angel investor and the incredible force behind Founder Pitch Week. Thanks to Bridgette's vision and meticulous planning, we had the opportunity to connect with multiple angel investors who showed a keen interest in supporting our mission. Watch the interview of our CEO with Bridgette here. |

MedTech Conference (Delemont, Switzerland) |
In line with our commitment to expand our research initiatives in Switzerland, the MedTech conference played a pivotal role in facilitating meaningful engagements with key local stakeholders from esteemed institutions such as the University of Basel and the University of Bern. Additionally, it provided us with valuable insights into the various funding opportunities that Switzerland has in store for us. |

Advocating for women's leadership in innovation is close to our hearts. In late September, we participated in the Women’s Venture Summit in San Diego, where we connected with other female founders and investors advocating for reducing disparities in venture capital. Thanks to Dr. Silvia Mah and the Stella team for organizing WVS, we look forward to going again next year! |
